I found these tiny fungi in a local wood. They are Holly Parachutes, which can be found on decaying holly leaves in autumn and winter. I selected this wonderful arrangement and sprayed them lightly to add sparkle. I brought them into my conservatory at home and focus bracketed them using my OM-1 and 90mm macro lens, at f/10. The background was a board I had painted. I tried different colours, but loved the way the yellow ochre made the mushrooms stand out and also recalled the earthy tones of autumn.
