Description
On the Somerset Levels in May the Four-Spotted Chasers emerge en-mass and for a few nights there is a mass roost in the reed beds. If the conditions are perfect it is possible to watch these Dragonflies slowly climb the reeds as the sun comes up. Such a wonderful event that occurs at dawn. The perfect conditions require no wind, rain or fog. The key elements are also not static as the Dragonflies move up and the sun moves up and left to right. So it is real challenge to catch the moment for an image of the dawn emergence.
