Description
The black river flows through the Taiga forest and at this location it takes a turn to the left past the little hut. However, the river also forms a whirlpool in an area to the right where floating ice can be seen slowly circulating and is mesmerising to watch. A long exposure has captured the trails of the ice swirling. On this occasion, the atmosphere was cold, crisp, and beautiful at around minus 30 degC. As it was so cold, the snow remained encrusted on the tress, rendering this colour scene (and image) as though black and white.
