Description
Location: Barricane Beach, Woolacombe, North Devon Equipment: iPhone 17 Technique: Photographing the partially eclipsed Sun through certified eclipse glasses. I wanted to capture the eclipse not simply as a celestial event, but as a moment of shared wonder. From Barricane Beach, I used an iPhone 17 to photograph the Sun safely through eclipse glasses, revealing it as a striking crescent of light. What drew me to this moment was the contrast between the familiar landscape of a North Devon beach and the extraordinary sight above it. For a brief period, the Sun became something almost otherworldly, while a crowd gathered below to witness the same rare spectacle. The image is about that fleeting sense of connection. An entire beach pausing to look upwards as the ordinary world was transformed by a crescent in the sky.
