Description
Phone-less Patrons at Augusta National show their jubilation moments after Rory McIlroy holed his putt to win The Masters tournament. Unlike at many other sporting events - where the background would be dominated by people watching the action through their phones - the moment represented the benefits of watching through your own eyes and being completely present. The photo shows Rory's putter mid air after being thrown into the sky - a display of the Northern Irishman's relief to finally complete the career grand slam. However due to Rory facing away from my camera, I decided to focus on the crowd's eruption while keeping Rory in the frame, which I believe was the best way to tell the story.
