Description
This image came to be following my research into Falconry, specifically it's relationship with Art. However, I ended up learning more about how falconry has impacted British Heritage and culture as the well as the country's international relationships and politics. This is as the art of Falconry has an extraordinary amount of history spanning thousands of years across countries in every continent. It is a unique partnership and one that has involved nobility and royalty over it's existence. For this image I therefore wanted to pay homage to my research and the falcon itself, drawing from references from 19th century etchings and paintings in order to bring all attention to this remarkable bird.
