Description
Found tucked deep in a gorse bush along the Cornish coast, this funnel-web spider sat motionless at the heart of its silk, patiently waiting for the morning dew to do the work of highlighting every strand. Photographed on a Nikon D500. I wanted to capture the quiet tension of the scene - the beaded droplets catching the light, and the spider barely visible in the shadow at the centre, holding perfectly still until something moves.
