Bored of the View A beautiful early morning in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy in the Masai Mara provided a stunning backdrop as these two adorable Lion cubs climbed the tree and posed as the sun rose. The two young Lion cubs photographed absorbing the atmosphere of their surroundings until one of them appears to get bored and yawns in the direction of it's sibling, showing just how youngsters become bored quickly, despite the amazing scenery. With this image I was trying to capture the animals with sufficient detail and any potential interactions but also show their habitat and their natural world, and with the sun rising as golden hour commenced it really brought out the colours of the Lions and the landscape. Setting off from Cheetah Camp, we found the Lemony Pride, starting with a Male Lion and Female Lion on honeymoon, but with the sun yet to rise we decided to travel further, eventually four young Lion cubs were playing out in the open but constantly on the move. Eventually they found the dead tree, the sun rose, the animals decided to climb and it all aligned. Camera image settings: Shutter speed: 1/640 sec Aperture: f6.3 ISO: 800
