The Never-Changing View Faded and dated, these mass-produced scenes once offered an idealised escape into distant landscapes, becoming familiar fixtures within our homes and childhood memories. The distant mountains remain frozen in their picturesque perfection, unchanged by time, while the presence of my feet introduces something immediate, intimate and human. A nostalgic image of somewhere I have never been, it questions our relationship with manufactured beauty, memory and the idea of escape. A comforting view preserved in time, yet quietly revealing how much has changed around it.
