Description
They tried to stop it. A foot set down where the growth might spread, holding the ground still. But some things cannot be stepped on. The branch climbs anyway, its shadow winding up the leg that stands against it, taking root in the very obstacle meant to end it. What tried to crush it became the thing it grew across. Black and white, single frame, no composite. Shot at 55mm, f/14, 1/800s, ISO 250.
