Cairngorms National Park, Scotland
DJI Mavic 3 Pro
Freezing fog drifted over the landscape on this bitterly cold winters morning in the Cairngorms National Park in December 2025. This caused hoar frost to form on the trees, painting them white. The weather was calm, with flat light, which encouraged me to think creatively with my compositions. By using my drone, 1 crafted this scene, where I flew just above the skeletal Birch Tree canopy and looked down onto the branches, highlighting the recognisable cross section of this type of tree. The background was the beautiful calm blue waters of this remote & pristine loch, giving a unique perpective. In the bottom of the frame, the side of the loch offers a grounding element in the foreground of the photograph
