Bonfire in Ravenhill, Belfast, July 2026 - the loyalist tradition on the eve of the Twelfth of July commemorating the Battle of the Boyne. This bonfire included Irish national flags attached to the structure, a practice that has drawn recent criticism as inciting hatred. The heat coming from the fire was immense. Shot against wire fencing facing the inferno, the placed figure, wearing two traditional bowler hats, is framed by flames so they read as a pure silhouette.
