Cars have always been more than a subject for me. As someone who specialises in automotive photography and videography, they have shaped much of my creative work, and since childhood, owning a Porsche had always been one of those distant ambitions I hoped I might one day achieve. This year, that ambition became a reality. After a few years of hard work grafting my own business and personal milestones, I finally bought my first Porsche, partly as a reward, and partly to mark the beginning of an entirely new chapter. This year mean't bigger plans, harder graft and news I was going to become a father for the first time, meaning the childhood dream unexpectedly took on a new role: the new dad mobile. I chose to photograph the crest closely because, to me, it represents far more than the car around it. It is a small detail carrying years of ambition, a personal milestone finally reached, and the beginning of something much bigger still to come.
